GEOS Melbourne College of English
Location
The college is conveniently located in the heart of the city, surrounded by a wide variety of department and retail stores, restaurants, bistros and cafés, specialty stores, banks, post offices and other service outlets. The safe and inexpensive public transport (trams, trains and buses) stop right near the college. In fact, you can find whatever you want close to our campus.

Students
GEOS is an international organization that recruits students from many countries. Currently we have students from twenty different countries. In this environment students are encouraged to speak English which improves their skills at a faster pace. We are an adult English school, catering for students 18 years and over. The only exception being study tour groups who form their own class.

Facilities
GEOS Melbourne College of English use the latest methods, materials and equipment. Our classrooms are clean and comfortable and there is an Independent Learning Centre where you can study and practise your language skills using computers with both visual and audio software, tape recorders, televisions and videos. We also offer WIFI access for students on level 1, so bring along your laptop for free access to the Internet!
The Student Common Room is a great place to mix with other students from different countries.

Cameron Winton: Director of Studies
Having taught at a few schools around the world, I was extremely pleased when I first started teaching here at Geos. The facilities are of a high standard, and the staff are wonderful. Now I am the director of studies, my role has changed, but I’m still equally happy to be here in such an enjoyable environment.

I’ve stayed an English teacher because it’s such an interesting field filled with fantastic opportunities for finding out about cultures from all over the world. Originally from Canada, I now call Australia home. I first came to Australia in 2002, as an international student at the University of Melbourne. Not long after that I went to Japan, where I taught English for two years. I've travelled to countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas, As well as English, I teach French, speak Japanese and hints of Aussie! I am privileged to be part of the professional and caring team at GEOS. I enjoy working with people in my role as Office Manager. Now I live in Melbourne and it is great to be in such a cosmopolitan, multi-cultural city. I have also lived in other countries including Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and New Zealand. I have found the best way to learn a language is to live in that country and learn about its culture as well.
